After pulling a stunt at the Tate Modern Art Gallery in London, which proved rather succesful (i.e we managed to get funny footage and run off without getting the camera confiscated and can be seen in our short film soon to be released), our thoughts turned to the next possible hidden camera stunt for this latest project. As our main character represents the future of humanity and his battle to be free in these troubled times, an iconic statement was required. Currently in France the burka has been banned. The banning of this garment was done from the argument that 1, it represented a security risk and 2, it signified the suppression of muslim women and therefore was freeing them from such oppression. In my opinion by banning the burka , which is also pushed into the British mainstream media for a similar debate, now represents freedom, because to wear it is to shows defience to a government who have no buisness in telling individuals what they should wear and who's argument is flawed as they themselves are dictating what muslim women should wear regardless of their individual feelings on the matter. Our next stunt therefore will involve a fetching dark green burka and the city of Paris.
